Big Ten Unveils 2024-25 Men’s Basketball Broadcast Schedule
All Big Ten games to be televised live for 18th consecutive season
ROSEMONT, Ill. — The Big Ten announced the start times and television designations for the 2024-25 men's basketball conference schedule on Wednesday, which includes all 180 contests set to be broadcast nationally. The conference also revealed tip times and network assignments for select non-conference games.
The Big Ten Conference season will begin with three games on Tuesday, Dec. 3, with a total of 18 conference games being played between Dec. 3-13 before conference play breaks until 2025. Following the holiday break, Big Ten action will resume on Jan. 2 with five games.
Conference play will build up to the 2025 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament, set for March 12-16 at Gainbridge Field House in Indianapolis, the 13th time the city will host the event, most of any city.
This will mark the first year that 15 teams will qualify for the tournament. Three first-round games are slated for Wednesday, March 12, with four games contested on Thursday, March 13 and Friday, March 14. The top four seeds will receive first- and second-round byes and advance to Friday’s quarterfinal round.
In addition to broadcast platforms CBS and FOX, the Big Ten Network and FS1 will continue to carry games on cable networks. NBCUniversal’s direct-to-consumer platform, Peacock, will also carry Big Ten games live.
Peacock will host the first two games of the conference slate on Tuesday, Dec. 3, as Iowa will host Northwestern at 7 p.m. followed by Michigan at Wisconsin at 9 p.m.
FOX Sports will also debut its Big Ten line-up on Dec. 3 at 10:30 p.m., when Washington makes the trip to UCLA.
The Big Ten Network will open its conference schedule with a tripleheader on Wednesday, Dec. 4, as Ohio State visits Maryland at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by Michigan State at Minnesota at 8:30 p.m. ET, with Oregon traveling south to USC at 10:30 p.m. ET.
CBS Sports will present a total of 13 Big Ten games on CBS and Paramount+, including its first conference match-up of the season with Illinois visiting Michigan State on Jan. 19 at 12 p.m. ET.
Peacock will televise the opening three games of the 2025 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament, with second-round and quarterfinal games on Thursday and Friday slated for Big Ten Network. For the 28th consecutive year, CBS Sports will broadcast the semifinals and championship game on CBS, with those games also streaming live on Paramount+.
All Big Ten Network, FOX, and FS1 on-air games will also be streamed nationwide via the web, smartphones, tablets and connected devices on the FOX Sports App. CBS Sports’ broadcast coverage will be available to stream live on Paramount+. Games broadcast on Peacock will be available exclusively on the platform.
